Truly-Yours-J_Cole

J. Cole’s year hiatus from making any major announcement or projects seemed to come to a halt when he released, “Miss America”, a street single for his new album Born SinnerHowever, after releasing “Miss America” Cole didn’t release any more information about the album or any new music. With his new EP, Truly Yours, J. Cole takes a step back and gives his fans a long awaited collection of new music. Cole announced he had recorded three albums worth over material during his hiatus and decided to release the five song EP as sign of appreciation to his fans for the long wait.

Jack Beats, Muse, Protohype and more!

Dota 2013 New Year

So good to be back, but what an ending to 2012! I apologize for my hiatus, but New Years and Christmas activities took over my life for the end of the year. I have been hard at work on a compilation video of my New Years journey, which will include footage from BassLights, Nectar 360 and Umphrey’s McGee’s New Years run. I can’t wait to share my experiences with you, but until then enjoy some of these new releases!

Previously I had posted one of Jack Beats’ new songs “Just a Beat” that was set to come out on their newest album, “Somebody To Love.” Well that album is here and it is definitely worth a listen! The duo has brought some tasty beats in on this new release, get it here!

The English rock band, Muse, which you have undoubtedly heard before, is hard at work on some new music as well. The guys have just released a new track called “Follow Me.” It is no secret that Muse is one of the most talented bands in the world. They are on my wishlist for a life show, and have been for a VERY long time. If this is your first chance to check them out, then sit down and listen to some of their older stuff and get a feel for their music. It is good. Very good.

Protohype is one of the hot up and comers within EDM music right now. I first heard his stuff while at Electric Forest and Paper Diamond dropped a track called “Problematic,” a mix that was created by both Protohype and Kezwik. Protohype has been gaining more and more publicity and his new track should generate even more. It is a remix of a track by Frew called “Deep Love.” It starts with a catchy light beat that quickly generates into something outstanding. I’ll list the track below so your ears can decide what they think.

So we have heard from the house guys, some alternative rock and a little dub step, what could be left but a little bit of trap music for you snare drum lovers! Flinch has teamed up with Diplo to bring a new remix to you called “No Problem.” Listen closely and you won’t be able to give any excuses as to why you don’t like it. When it hits that trap beat you will almost be forced to nod along with this beat. Don’t believe me? Check it out below!

Big Gigantic & Griz- Power

POWER-ART-final

While in attendance at Electric Forest Music Festival this summer, Big G brought Griz on stage to debut a track that they had been working on together. This track was finally released today and it is still as powerful as I remember it. It seems like Big Gigantic can do nothing else besides make headline after headline and Griz is not a bad name to be associated with. Griz and Gramatik recently came together for a collab you have probably heard, “Digital Liberation is Mad Freedom.” This one is just as good. Gave me chills in the forest, gives me chills now!
